Prayer Generator
A prayer for: tempted
O Lord God, my refuge and strength, I come before You in my time of weakness, feeling the weight of temptation pressing upon my heart. Grant me the wisdom and courage to stand firm, remembering that You provide a way of escape from every trial. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You and not be led astray by fleeting desires. Renew my spirit with Your holy presence, that I may resist the enemy and walk in the path of righteousness. Thank You, Father, for Your constant love and sustaining grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
When you don’t know what to pray
Prayer is meant to be honest, not eloquent. But there are moments — a midnight diagnosis, a hard conversation tomorrow, a friend in grief — when even honest words won’t come. The Prayer Generator is a small tool for those moments. You describe the situation in a sentence or two, and it writes a short, reverent Christian prayer (four to eight sentences) you can read aloud, send to a friend, or use as the opening of your own longer prayer.
Every prayer is written fresh for the situation you describe. They address God reverently, draw on the themes of Scripture, and end with “In Jesus’ name, Amen.” They are meant to give you words to start with, not to replace your own voice. After reading the generated prayer, take a quiet moment to make it your own — add the names, the specifics, the parts only you and God know.
For a Bible verse to pair with your prayer, try the Bible Verse Generator on the same topic. To read what Scripture says about prayer itself, see our study topics and answered questions. For a daily rhythm, the Daily Bible Verse is a simple way to start each morning with Scripture.
